Job Description

Job Description:

On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity is looking for a Business Analyst perform technical and functional requirements analysis, develop requirements and design documentation, and support workflows to facilitate Product Development through an Agile sprint lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Develop plans for defining requirements, complete with approach, stakeholders, schedules, and deliverables.

• Support requirements gathering sessions with multiple stakeholders to extract requirements using leading practice methods and tools.

• Work closely with the Program Manager, Project Managers, Product Owner, Clinical Informatics Specialists Functional BA and Enterprise Architect (EA) to gather and document technical requirements.

• Create deliverables such as process flows, business requirements, product requirements, and related materials for stakeholder approval, using leading practice methods and tools.

• Create and maintain technical documentation including but not limited to technical specifications, configuration requirements, technical guides, admin guides, data specifications, technical workflows for stakeholder approval using leading practice methods and tools.

• Familiar with agile product development in a cross-functional environment.

• Manage requirements scope via established change control processes.

• Work closely with the Program Manager, Project Manager(s) and Clinical Informatics Specialists.

• Assist the EA in creating technical solution options, briefing notes and technical

recommendations.

• Liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders as advised.

• Organize stakeholder engagement sessions.

• Produce clear and concise documentation for stakeholders.

• Assist with stakeholder mapping and analysis.

• Conduct multi-layer data analysis independently by linking data from multiple health information data sources.

• Work with the cross-functional teams to create project artefacts, documentation, and reports.

• Conduct research and environmental scans as required.

• Available to attend meetings within Pacific Time (PT) working hours.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a senior BA in the healthcare sector in Canada.

• Experience working with the Health Authorities in BC would be an asset.

• Excellent skills gathering technical and functional requirements, processes, workflows, and conducting analysis in a healthcare setting.

• Experience analyzing processes and understanding the interactions between various healthcare systems.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including facilitating discovery sessions, workshops, developing agendas, requirements elicitation, and facilitating collaboration across a variety of stakeholder groups.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organization and time management and documentation skills.

• Experience analyzing processes and understanding the interactions between various healthcare systems.

• Ability to work with operations teams, develop documentation to meet their needs and support the development of change management, training, and user resources.

• Knowledge of FHIR, SMART on FHIR, HL7, APIs an asset.

• Strong communication skills to support communication between technical and business teams.

• Nice to have experience with Salesforce Health Cloud

Preference given to candidates who can demonstrate:

• Experience working within the BC Health Sector or similar province-wide health systems

• Experience in large-scale healthcare interoperability or integration projects

• Strong analytical, interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

• A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development

• Certifications in Business Analysis, Project Management

Hourly Rate: $75-$80 Per Hour.
