Brand Manager, Prestige BeautyACI Brands Inc., is one of Canada’s largest fashion accessory, cosmetic and beauty product companies. Located in Oakville at the Mississauga border, our dynamic company has an 18 month contract opportunity for a Brand Manager. We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, results oriented, professional who has demonstrated success in the cosmetic industry. This is a hybrid work arrangement.Job Description:This Brand Manager, Prestige Beauty position is reporting to the Vice President, Marketing & Brand Management. This role actively participates in the conceptualization, development and execution of marketing programs and creative strategies to support various assigned brands in Canada. This position oversees all channels of distribution to drive brand growth and achieve objectives, as well as ownership of the brand marketing budget.Job DutiesManagement Responsibilities: Manage, and develop 1 direct report (Brand Associate) with all aspects of the businessDevelop and implement appropriate strategies by selecting, segmenting and targeting retailers; and promoting products & services for those retailers with an omni-channel 360° marketing PlanUnderstand and execute all contractual obligations for the brand(s)Plan and execute successful marketing plans and product launches, according to timelines, COG objectives and sales targets Review and react to planogram performance to maximize sales and limit risk for multiple retailersAnalyze feedback and performance of promotional programs in order to maximize Sales potential Work closely with Manager, Space Planning to optimize multiple planograms by retailer and ensure brand objectives are met by retailerManage merchandising updates by retailer including; conceptualization, planogram segmenting, sourcing of fixtures, implementation of fixturing, visual focuses and collateral packages in conjunction with brand partners and external suppliersWork closely with sales team to ensure merchandising group and field team has the tools required to execute and manage fulfillment of in-store planogram updatesRespond to opportunities & threats in the marketing environment in a timely fashionInfluence brand strategies by Identifying new product, pricing and packaging trends along with competitive risks based on Canadian consumer needs, trends and opportunities to brand(s) partnerUnderstand consumer purchasing behavior and develop strategies based on key insights received from retailer, field and consumer product feedbackManage multiple project priorities and timelines to ensure launches are kept on trackReport POS results to management and vendor partner(s) on a weekly or monthly basisProduce accurate reports, status updates, detailed competitive analysis grids, etc.Leverage Industry data to identify strategies for growth and risk Conduct regular competitive studies and market visits and share results with management, brand partners and sales teamsWork closely with regulatory and legal teams to ensure compliance of product specifications Negotiate and work effectively with manufacturers and external suppliers and vendors to ensure timelines and cost objectives are metPreparation of price lists for different retailers Responsible for the internal item creation processPrepare business reviews for management meetings as requiredMarketing Responsibilities:Cultivate key initiatives and tactics for overall brand growth; Including plans for advertising, instore, sales promotion, public relations & sales managementDirect and focus all marketing promotional elements such as bonuses, set contents, visuals, collateral, mailers, merchandising, sampling programs etc.Identify niche/guerilla opportunities for the assigned brandWork with PR , Digital and Ad Agencies to identify micro-marketing opportunities Develop and implement tools for product knowledge, trainings, manuals, webinars, Videos, Online and E-Commerce initiativesPlan and execute National Training Schools for assigned Brand(s) collaboratively with counterpartsIdentify opportunities within the brand(s); and plan, develop and lead marketing initiatives, strategies and elements for new launches and seasonal promotions monthly for instore executionProvide monthly in-store activity calendar for field team communicating marketing guidelines, product focuses and highlighting tools provided to execute in-store eventing, trainings and other retailer specific programs Recommend innovative marketing initiatives to increase brand growth and market share Prepare presentations for clients, retailers, management and internal departmentsOn-going preparation of clearance presentations to manage inventory levels of discontinued itemsPreparation of all marketing collateral, brochures, literature, packaging copy, training and sales materials Work cohesively with PR agency/vendor partners to develop and execute PR strategies that will maximize brand coverageWork with Creative department to develop advertising, signage, packaging concepts and other content that meet brand guidelinesDevelop and maintain social media presence for assigned brands where requiredSupport the messaging and execution of digital marketing and social media online advertisement initiatives Provide key insights and answer all customer inquiries in collaboration with Brand partnersSource suppliers and place purchase orders for specific marketing initiatives Maintain a record of all advertisements, brochures, price lists, magazines, etc.Finance & Forecasting Responsibilities:Demonstrate strong fiscal responsibility by effectively administering and monitoring expenses, sales budgets and inventory to achieve financial objectives and ensure efficient and optimal use of investmentsDevelop sales driven marketing plans and expense budget per brand based on contractual obligationsUnderstand and establish MSRP and pricing structures for assigned brand(s)Monitor, track and process expenses on an ongoing basisAccurately forecast promotional and saleable inventory to ensure inventory level objectives are met Review and revise product forecasts on a monthly basis to maintain adequate inventory levels and maximizing sales opportunitiesMaintain inventory levels to avoid out of stocks while maximizing sales opportunitiesManage discontinuations in-house in conjunction with inventory management Recommend and implement in-store programs to ensure minimum return volumes Lead interaction with purchasing to ensure proper flow of productsCommunications Responsibilities: Develop strong, positive working relationships with global counterparts, external suppliers and vendors from concept to completionCollaborate with various departments through the development and execution of launch plansEstablish regular communication stream and follow-up with all team/project membersMaintain strong communication with Field Team on Brand(s) status, sales, ranking and key promotional opportunities Lead and attend briefing sessions with cross-functional team members on product reviews, timelines and launch plans to successfully deploy timely launchesRequirements:Bachelor Degree in Marketing is preferred5 years previous work experience preferably in CPG, Cosmetics, Health & Beauty, Skincare, Fragrances, or Professional BrandsProficient in MS Office and Adobe SuitesStrong Business-acumenEntrepreneurial SpiritExceptional analytical skills, extremely organized and detail-oriented Outstanding presentation and communication skillsAbility to prioritize, plan and manage multiple projectsCapable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented environmentAppreciated previous titles: Brand Manager, Marketing Manager, Product Manager, Category Manager
