Contract Duration & Location: 12 month contract, Hybrid from Mississauga Job Summary: Reporting to the Billing Manager, the Billing Specialist is responsible for completing invoice generation and delivery, update of company billing and customer records, data quality checks and billing requests/inquiries. Part of the role is to investigate invoice discrepancies, create reports to address customer, management and inter-department requests as needed, and identify opportunities to enhance the billing process. The Billing Specialist will be the point person who will help ensure invoice generation and delivery is complete, accurate and done in a timely manner to meet tight accounting deadlines and support collection metrics. Key Responsibilities:Create invoices for all business units Update customer billing records and process change in billing address, email contact and invoice delivery method Complete regular data quality checks and reconciliation reports to address actual and potential billing discrepancies Prepare billing reports for customers with special requirements Process undelivered mails and emails Perform invoice review and validation and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies. Produce and submit customer invoice file for 3rd party print vendor and manage postage fund report Analyze and evaluate both production and processing output results to identify errors and inconsistencies and communicate to manager and senior staff members Execute and understand assigned tasks with high attention to details and identify opportunities for process improvements to promote efficiency and productivity Submit cases to Account Services team for review and changes to customer subscriptions Document new processes and update existing procedure manuals Perform other relevant functions that may be assigned from time to time. Required Experience:Degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance or Business Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in finance operations with billing and/or project management background as an asset High attention to details and accuracy with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Solid MS Office skills with intermediate to advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel Knowledge of NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus Willingness to work outside of regular business hours to support strategic initiatives and bill run deadlines Initiative-taker, proactive with positive attitude and great work ethic with the ability to manage tight deadlines and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic and ever-growing environment Exemplary team player who can build solid internal working relationships through influence and collaboration. Strong sense of urgency with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously Good organizational, people and communication skills $57,000 - $65,000 a yearAtPointClickCare, base salary is one of the many components that make up our total rewards package.The Canada base salary rangefor this position is $57,000 - $65,000. Our salary ranges are determined byjob and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by job-related skills and knowledge, relevant experienceincluding professional and lived experience, and/or work location.
