This is a hybrid opportunity based out of Dentalcorp’s Toronto Support Centre. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for providing support you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and strategic business support to our practice managers, regional and senior director leaders in operations. You will play a key role in driving financial performance, optimizing operational efficiency, and providing actionable insights to help guide decision-making and drive business growth. This position requires a deep understanding of financial analysis, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Role overview

  • Financial Analysis and Reporting:
    • Conduct detailed financial analysis to assess the financial performance of the practices you partner with.
    • Prepare regular financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis to track key financial metrics and identify trends.
    • Provide insightful commentary on financial results and recommend actionable strategies to improve financial performance.
  • Business Partnership and relationship management:
    • Collaborate closely with practice managers, regional and senior director leaders in operations to understand their business objectives and challenges.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor and provide financial insights to support decision-making and drive business growth.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with practices you partner with to ensure alignment and effective communication.
    • Support the practice budget and forecast process by collaborating with the FP&A team and senior director leaders in operations.
    • Report on key metrics and KPIs to measure and monitor the performance of each practice.
    • Conduct financial analysis, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement based on data-driven insights.
    • Prepare regular financial reports and presentations to support operations decision making.
    • Support practices by reviewing and responding to dc assist tickets within required SLAs
    • Support the practices in their annual inventorying process by reviewing counts files and count results and ensuring the counts will meet auditor expectations.
  • Operational Efficiency and Process Improvement:
    • Identify areas for operational improvement and cost optimization within the finance processes.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement process improvements and efficiency measures.
    • Provide financial analysis and support for business initiatives aimed at driving operational excellence.
  • Strategic Planning and Decision Support:
    • Contribute to the strategic planning process by providing financial insights and conducting scenario analysis.
    • Support strategic initiatives and special projects with financial analysis, modeling, and business case development.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Must be fluently bilingual in English and French
  • At least 2 to 3 years experience as a Financial Analyst or Business Partner in a prior finance role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and align financial goals with overall business objectives.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
