Position: Bilingual Proposal WriterType: Full time, PermanentLocation: Brampton, ON / Montreal, QCWe are looking for an exceptional talent to join the Sales Operations Team as a Bilingual Proposal Writer. In this role you will support the Quebec Commercial Sales and National Commercial Team, coordinating, writing, and submitting RFP Responses and tenders in both French and English. If you have a passion for writing, coordinating, working with talented co-workers and celebrating the successes of winning proposals this is a great opportunity for you. This role will be based out of our Montreal Sales Office or the Greater Toronto Area based on candidate geography.Key Responsibilities Highly skilled writing and composition capability-English and French- with proven experience in the Print, Marketing and Business Communications industry is an assetSales or Marketing experience would also be an asset for this roleManaging the creation of responses for Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Information (RFIs) and other Customer Questionnaire projectsDetermining proposal response concepts and strategies by identifying and clarifying opportunities and client needs; studying/understanding RFP/RFI client documents and their associated deliverables; attending and participating in bid strategy meetings and developing and refining content for submissionsDeveloping project plans/timelines for Proposal deliverables based on prescribed RFP timelinesMeeting proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target milestone dates for information gathering, writing, review and approvals; entering and monitoring tracking data; coordinating requirements and content with contributors and subject matter experts; maintaining proposal status information in databases; transmitting proposals through email and other automated procurement platformsCreating proposals by assembling content including both “boiler-plate” and customized client specific technical content, writing, revising and editing drafts including executive summaries and other related materialsGathering proposal information from subject matter experts where requiredObtaining approvals by reviewing proposals with key contributors, the commercial team and project managersIdentifying and communicating risks associated with proposals from initial go/no-go and throughout the proposal development processDeveloping and refining content for current RFP submissions and for future submission opportunitiesMaintaining quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone; and maintaining proposal support and content databases.Improving proposal-writing results by evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, coordination, and boilerplate; implementing changes to make improvementsAccomplishing organizational goals by accepting accountability in completing requests; exploring enhancement opportunities and adding value to job deliverables through a continuous improvement mindsetOther duties as assignedRequirementsStrong and highly proficient verbal and written communication skills in both French and EnglishPrint, marketing and business communications industry knowledge/experienceProficiency in full suite of Microsoft Office programs including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as Adobe, Visio and other related software applicationsFamiliarity with Microsoft D365, SharePoint and other archival software applications would be an assetGraphic/word processing design skillsTechnical writing/documentationProposal layout skillsProblem solvingDeadline-orientedProcess improvement focusedCoordination/Project Management skillsDCM will provide:An exciting career path that continues to challenge and reward you year after yearA dynamic and engaging workplace that offers a wide range of solutions to our clientsA stable yet evolving organization with a reputation for exceeding our customers’ expectationsAn environment that will foster personal and professional growth and the opportunity for you to succeedFull-time employment with access to a wide variety of benefits such as: health and dental, personal well-being, vacation, retirement savings, and an employee share ownership program.Data Communications Management Corporation is committed to equal employment opportunity, employs and does not discriminate against all qualified persons without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, or any other classification protected by applicable federal and provincial laws.
