JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the PSS Director of Operations, the Learning & Development Specialist role will support Bayshore’s Learning & Development team, including the delivery of in-person and virtual workshops and onboarding. Participates in other learning activities to advance training and skills development for Bayshore’s Patient Support Services (PSS) team.

  • Delivery and scheduling of training programs in coordination with other internal stakeholders
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to present to large groups.
  • Coordination and delivery of new employee orientation.
  • Administration and reporting of learning and development activities.
  • Have extensive experience with LMS platforms.
  • Work closely with LMS Administrator and other business teams.
  • Contribute and facilitate onboarding and retention strategies for Bayshore team members.
  • Have a strong understanding of and experience working with needs analysis, evaluation and feedback of learning initiatives.
  • Performs other duties & projects as assigned.

General Job Requirements

  • Ensure education and quality assurance programs adhere to government, company and ISO 9001-2000 standards.
  • Participate in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Notify immediate supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns. Complete Accident Reports for all direct reports who injure themselves on the job, within 24 hours of the incident.
  • Always maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information.
  • Complete other administrative tasks as requested.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

This position reports to the Director, PSS Operation

  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Social Sciences, Health Care, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills to deliver training courses, workshops and presentations and prepare training documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • 3+ years of working experience and/or formal training in adult education principles
  • Prior experience with learning initiatives and HR functions overall.
  • Advanced experience with MS Office applications and learning technology
  • Advanced proficiency in e-learning software/tools such as Articulate 360 Storyline, Camtasia, Captivate or other authoring tools.
  • Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Problem-solving skills to identify gaps, develop training solutions, implement appropriate strategies, and resolve logistical issues and challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including sensitivity, tact and professionalism when working with course participants, team members, co-workers, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills to undertake multiple assignments and identify priorities.
  • Judgment and discretion skills to make recommendations, identify needs; and resolve issues.
  • Bilingual (French & English)
