  • Work with a sales team to support business development for international cash management solutions
  • Have the opportunity to play an important and strategic role in demonstrating the value add of Global Solutions to US-based corporate multinational clients and prospects
  • Lead and oversee a portfolio of corporate clients to generate new cash management and deposits business in LATAM and the Caribbean; ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures
What You'll Do:
  • Lead and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
  • Develop profitable new international cash management and deposits business utilizing Scotiabank's global footprint from an assigned portfolio to meet or exceed pre-assigned sales targets
  • Coordinate business development activities with key internal business partners; meeting to exchange and co-ordinate respective business development plans
  • Researching market conditions in each country and developing a deep understanding of our competitive landscape in each market, our gaps and opportunities for improvement, our products vs. competitors, etc.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
  • Contributing to seamless delivery of services from origination through to execution and delivery of ongoing client service by overseeing the customer handover
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with internal bank partners (GBM and local RMs, GTB Sales, ICCB, etc.)
  • Building and maintaining relationships with BNS International locations and partner banks to provide comprehensive global cash management solutions
  • As appropriate, providing and coordinating GBP product and marketing training for internal staff
  • Create an environment in which your team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
  • Build a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team
What You'll Bring:
  • Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish, both written and verbal is required
  • Business Development Skills with superior presentation and closing capabilities
  • University degree preferably in business, finance or related discipline
  • CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) designation
  • 5-10 years of experience in International Cash Management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of domestic and international Treasury and Cash Management Services such as domestic and cross-border payments, collections, SWIFT, electronic banking and ACH networks
  • Sound understanding of the Bank's structure and contacts across multiple functional areas and adept at building strategic relationships
  • Exceptional ability to excel in this client facing role, building trusted relationships
Work Arrangement: This position is currently a Hybrid role, with the expectation that you will work three days a week in the office.
