Bank General Radiographer – Duchy Hospital – Bank Hours

We are recruiting for a dynamic and enthusiastic General / X-ray Radiographer to join our Imaging Department, at Duchy Hospital in Truro, Cornwall

We have an exciting opportunity for a Radiographer to join our team.

You will be responsible for performing a range of diagnostic radiographic procedures as required throughout the hospital and will be delivering exceptional standards of clinical care to our patients supported by one of the UK’s largest private health care groups. The department is usually open between the hours of 8-6 and the role will involve some weekend working and participation in the on-call rota.As part of this role you will be part of the on-call team.

The department performs a wide variety of general radiography and ultrasound. As part of this role you will be part of the on-call team. The department is open between the hours of 8-8 and working some Saturdays will be required.

Duchy Hospital is Cornwall's only private hospital with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare treatments and services. Duchy Hospital was opened in 1981 by the late HRH Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and is located in a pleasant rural setting on the outskirts of Truro.

Ideal candidate

  • HCPC registered.
  • Significant Orthopaedic X-ray experience
  • Orthopaedic Image Intensifier experience
  • Strong commitment to teamwork
  • Patient focused with high standards of care and customer service.

Ideal Candidate will have

  • Professional registration in the UK
  • Experience in general radiography
  • Knowledge of radiation and patient safety
  • The ability to be able to work alone at times
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • To be flexible, adaptable and be able to demonstrate a patient focussed attitude to delivery of the highest standards of clinical care
  • Good knowledge of IT

Essential requirements

  • Current HCPC registration
  • DCR or BSc in Diagnostic Radiography
  • Evidence of CPD
