Bakery Department Manager page is loadedBakery Department ManagerApplylocations3940 Highway 7, RR 2, Vaughan, ONtime typeFull timeposted onPosted Yesterdayjob requisition idR2000460177OverviewTo be responsible for the effective operation of the Bakery Department by maximizing sales and gross profit, ensuring sales’ goals and budgets are met. passion & commitment to customer service is a key driver for our Company Duties and Responsibilities: Ensuring exceptional customer service is provided in a courteous manner to maintain our reputation for friendly, effective, and personalized experience To oversee the effective ordering, production, merchandising of all bakery products and ensure attractive displays to maintain and increase sales; To plan daily production sheets to ensure variety in bakery products, and effectively prioritize and organize all production and department functions; To effectively control inventory through pricing and signage of bakery products to achieve company goals and budget so as to maximize sales and profits; To schedule, direct, supervise and discipline department staff and train all new employees; To be responsible for the opening and/or closing functions of the department; To ensure the maintenance of equipment and the safety and sanitation of the production and back room areas, as per Company Policy; To respond to any customer inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all times; To perform other duties, as required. The Ideal Candidate Would Possess: Exceptional customer service skills The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a qualified baker/decorator, preferably in a retail environment; Previous managerial experience and knowledge of production schedules is a definite asset; Flexibility to work a variety of hours which include days, evening, nights, and weekends; Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; Must possess excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
