Job Description

Adecco is currently hiring several full-time skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technicians (unlicensed) to join our clients’ dynamic team in Richmond, BC. In this role you will be responsible for performing a variety of automotive repair and maintenance tasks under the supervision of licensed technicians and service managers. This role is ideal for individuals who have completed automotive training programs and are working towards obtaining their certification, or those with relevant experience looking to further develop their skills.

  • Pay Rate: between $23.00 - $25.00/hour (based on experience)

  • Location: Richmond, BC

  • Shift: 7:30am – 4:00pm

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating flow of vehicles through auction services improving days to turn

  • Facilitate day to day operations of Mechanical & Frontline shops with rapidly expanding Non auction/buyer smart repairs

  • Assessing and quoting needed repairs as well as communicating with customers on a daily basis.

  • Sourcing parts and looking up labour times.

  • Establishing working relationship with suppliers and vendors.

  • Input of parts and labour costs into the Portal. Billing out of work performed with the correct charges and mark ups .

  • Managing workload and delegating jobs for technicians and shops workflow.

  • Processing pre-sale and post-sale inspections.

  • Identifying Arbitration units and sourcing repairs and resolutions.

  • Assisting with windshield and key replacements.

  • Performs moderately complex clerical and numerical processing activities of a clerical
    nature including selecting, compiling, verifying and processing data

  • Discrepancy investigation and communicating same to appropriate personnel in a timely manner

  • Electronically or manually enters moderately complex reports and processes data

  • Duties may also include ordering office supplies, sorting and distributing mail, processing materials for courier, faxing documents, photocopying etc.

Qualifications:

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

  • 3 years of Service Advisor experience

  • Automotive industry experience with an understanding of automotive parts and product lines

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills

  • Must be well organized, multi-tasker, work well under pressure

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • An understanding of Automotive (repair) knowledge and automotive product lines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Excellent organizational skills

  • Flexible schedule required Monday-Saturday
