Job Description

Our client, who has been established several decades, and has operations across the globe, is seeking an Automated Warehouse Manager to achieve financial and operational goals, and lead the development and execution of an automated warehouse. Responsibilities:Leads Operational Efficiency initiatives; ensuring a data-driven and results oriented approach that supports successful execution of company strategic objectivesPartner with internal Leadership team (Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service, Logistics, HR and Accounting) to maximize profitability, efficiency and customer satisfactionDevelop, monitor and report on KPIs, volumes and costsDrive teams to exceed performance goals against KPI’s while also meeting all deliverables for customers, ensuring customer’s satisfactionAbility to work efficiently and independently to ensure warehouse/team goals, quality objectives and delivery deadlines are metForecast planning function using inventory levels, production speed, and clients demand to estimate the needs of the departmentLead daily warehouse operations activities, shipping operations working in conjunction with production operations Manage a 3-shift operation for all warehouse activities to ensure cross-functional cooperation with support from Shift SupervisorsLead the strategy, development and execution of the warehouse automation projectManage inventory control, implement and maintain quality assurance processEnsure that performance goals are set and achieved, through the proper execution of performance metrics as it relates to Productivity, Safety, Quality and Customer ServiceCreate long-term plans and initiatives to accomplish company goals efficientlyStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailEnsure best practices are developed for all protocols and procedures within the departmentLead the organization’s Performance Improvement Plan and Operational Efficiency initiatives; ensuring a data-driven and results oriented approach that supports successful execution of company strategic objectivesPrepare and manage annual departmental and operational budgets in support of organizational goals and objectivesTrain, mentor and guide other members of the team as requiredAble to work in a cold/hot environmentQualifications: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations management, or another related field 5+ years of warehouse automation management experience, ideally gained in a leadership roleComprehensive knowledge of warehousing and fulfillment operations, best practices, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean and Theory of Constraints)Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in ExcelExcellent computer skills including Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to distill large amounts of information into concise summariesComprehensive knowledge of warehousing and logistics management software including SAP or similar ERP system preferredStrong people management and supervisory skillsRemuneration: Our client offers a salary commensurate upon experience, performance bonus, medical & dental health benefits, RRSP in addition to continuous training and career growth.
