Position Description The role of Assistant Marketing Manager will be to assist with critical marketing tasks to support the RYOBI & RIDGID Outdoor Power Equipment business at The Home Depot. You will play a key role in implementing the brands marketing and merchandising strategy for promotions and new product launches as well as raise the profile of the brands through the development of various marketing strategies in line with business objectives. This is a great opportunity to apply your expertise and add value to this fast-growing business and work across multiple marketing channels for the growing Outdoor Power Equipment category. What You Will Do The Assistant Marketing Manager plans and executes marketing strategies and merchandising solutions in-store to generate demand for RYOBI and RIDGID Outdoor products as well as create an interconnected online experience to drive conversion, sustainable growth and sales. In this position, the Assistant Marketing Manager will: Collaborate with internal teams to create merchandising & advertising material that is consistent with brand standards Partner with Home Depot Marketing teams on collaborative advertising and initiatives Ensure all prospect and customer touchpoints are accurate, consistent, and on-brand Create and optimize RYOBI and RIDGID’s brand presence on homedepot.ca Budget and execute Home Depot’s Orange Apron Media paid digital on-site & offsite advertisements, develop and manage brand content on PIPs, CLPs & brand pages Develop the monthly marketing strategy for the Outdoor Power category to drive awareness and sales Collaborate and negotiate with third party vendors and Home Depot Visual Merchandising to develop cost-effective in-store merchandising strategies. Work closely with the Consumer Division’s Digital Team to determine content, and ensure accuracy of websites, digital flyers, social media posts and email campaigns Work closely with the U.S to collaborate on North American marketing strategies and executions Collaborate with the Creative team on the production and execution of marketing assets for promotions and new product launches Undertake any tasks that are in addition to those listed above where required and within capabilities Who You Are Experienced marketing professional with strong interest in marketing strategy development and marketing trends A strong multi-tasker that can prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment Equipped to prepare and monitor marketing budgets and allocate funds wisely Experienced in setting up and optimizing on-site marketing programs using Google Ads, Orange Apron Media or similar platforms Driven by results and continuous improvement with a strong attention to detail Someone with a passion for excellence and executes tasks with the highest degree of integrity and accountability A team player and collaborator with excellent verbal and written communication skills Enthusiastic about learning, eager to give and receive feedback Someone who will take the initiative to solve a challenge with solid analytical and problem-solving skills as well as optimizing resources to hit objectives What You Will Bring Post Secondary diploma or degree in Marketing 2-3 years similar work experience in Marketing, Branding or Merchandising, ideally in big box retail environment Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Knowledge of Home Depot’s Orange Apron Media or Google Ads is an asset Strong Project Management ability Creative and innovative problem solver Strong organizational and administrative skills Occasional travel required as needed Valid driver’s license required What You Will Get Competitive base salary and/or bonus structure Health Benefits Coverage, including $500 annual Wellness Program Registered Retirement Savings Plan with Employer Matching Contributions Paid time of and employee discount programs Employee recognition and incentive programs, plus award-winning culture!
