Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX: As an Associate Software Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining a wide range of software, tools, applications, and information systems to meet the ever-evolving needs of our business in today's demanding global marketplace. Your focus will be on extending, developing, and maintaining the Adobe Commerce platform so it can seamlessly integrate with other systems. You'll be working alongside a team of agile professionals with a proven track record of delivering successful projects. You'll collaborate closely with senior developers and web architects to design and comprehend project architectures. This position is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office, but we're open to a hybrid remote work setup. Please note that candidates must be eligible to work in Canada. Developing and maintaining customizations and extensions for Magento/Adobe Commerce Creating REST and GraphQL interfaces to enhance platform functionality Designing and implementing micro-services to optimize system architecture Enhancing CI/CD processes to streamline development workflows Monitoring messaging platform (RabbitMQ), web servers, and assets using APM tools like New Relic Adhering to DevOps practices, including peer code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration & deployment Providing exceptional service to users and team members by delivering effective solutions and clear communication Collaborating on special projects within an Agile team environment Analyzing system requirements and refine technical specifications based on business needs and existing documentation Contributing to team development efforts by documenting code, following style guides, and collaborating closely with various team members Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

You have 1+ years of relevant experience in a similar role with willingness to learn and contribute to development in an Agile/Scrum environment You have working knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript best practices You have familiarity with Magento/Adobe Commerce cloud or any other Ecommerce Platform/Back Office You have some exposure to integrating with 3rd party APIs, knowledge of basic authentication/session and understanding of data structures + MVC concept You have exceptional communication, problem solving, and documentation skills You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it $69,000 - $86,000 a year

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $69,000 - $86,000 CAD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
