GENERAL WORK WEEK: Sunday – Thursday LOCATION: Argyle

A mutuallyagreed upon schedule will be determined in conjunction with the new hire,manager, and HR.

The Associate Pastor’s primary function will be to provideoversight, support and general leadership of the areas assigned by theExecutive Pastor. The AP will have avariety of project assignments including but not limited to oversight of thereimplantation of the Growth Track and establishing Rooted as our discipleshipprogramming engine. In addition, the APwill provide managerial leadership and oversight for the Connections team. The AP must demonstrate and lead with astrong belief and understanding of the values and culture of CTC aligningcampus staff to follow the aim and initiatives set by the Lead Pastor and theExecutive Pastor.

STAFFEXPECTATION:

As a condition of employment with Cross Timbers, itis essential (required) that employees and their families become active participantsin the life and ministry of CT. Thisincludes regular attendance to services and finding a way to volunteer with aministry not in the scope of this job. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Experienced leader, with excellent relational andcommunication skills (3-5 years)

· Proven ability and experience leading and managinga staff (3-5 years minimum)

· Able exercise a high level of discernment,integrity and confidentiality

· Willing to follow and live out our teamexpectations

· Willing and open to change, be flexible in avariety of situations

· A team player giving and receiving input, willingto compromise & cooperate

· Exhibit clear and effective verbal and non-verbal communicationsskills

PASTORALRESPONSIBILITIES:

ACross Timbers Church pastor exhibits the heart to pray for, provide spiritualguidance, encourage, and lead people to Christ. The church qualifies andcommissions a pastor as an individual who has been given the responsibility andor authority to administer in full or in part the following:

· BiblicalTeaching to the congregation or sub-part of the congregation (i.e., kids;students; college, financial freedom)

· Leador have oversight of a church ministry, program, or department

· Performreligious/spiritual functions of the church

· Weddings

· Pastoral(not licensed) counsel

Full-time CrossTimbers Church pastors will become a part of the Pastor On-Call (POC) rotationcycle which helps the organization accomplish and meet the needs of variouspastoral aspects in the life and ministry of the church. Part-time Cross Timbers Church pastors willsupport as time allows but not be included in the POC rotation due to hourrestrictions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadershipand support which includes but is not limited to budget oversite for areas asassigned such as Connections and discipleship.
  • Overseethe execution of the discipleship courses and opportunities aligning with theimplementation of Rooted.
  • Ownershipof the creation and execution of the Growth Track
  • Provideleadership and support to the Connection team as each leads their ministry projectsand assigned aspects on a day-to-day basis.
  • Providingfocus and direction for the Connections team to create Serve Team opportunitiesto help fully execute the projects and goals aligning them to the vision andmission set forth by the Lead Pastor.
  • Oversightof events delegating coordination and execution responsibilities through theConnections Team and in collaboration with other ministry teams.
  • Flexibilityto take on new projects as assigned to help support the growth and developmentof the church.
  • Oversightand leadership of direct reports emphasizing the importance of recruiting,training, retaining and appreciating Serve Team .
  • Helpto promote a collaborative work environment for direct reports and with otherteams across the organization.
  • Workin collaboration with the Director of Facilities on various space usage forvarious assigned projects.
  • Supervise and manage the Connections team includingbut not limited to regular 1:1 meetings with direct reports, providingopportunities for growth and development through clear and simple goals,responsibilities and expectations
  • Attend essential (required) staffmeetings/functions as assigned by the manager and/or Leadership.

· Full-Time Positions - There is a 40-hourweekly work expectation for all full-time employees.

o Full-time staff work weeks are categorized by position as Monday –Friday or Sunday–Thursday. 

· Part-Time Positions - Part-time employees have varying hours depending upon the role butshould never exceed 29 hours per work week. The actual number of hours per week is not guaranteed and may vary withthe workload. Failure to adhere to the29-hour rule is a violation of the employment agreement.

· The established work week is Sunday throughSaturday for all payroll purposes including tracking part-time hours.

· Full-time and Regular part-time positions may beapproved for a flex schedule which includes the potential of 1-day remoteworking. Managers have discretionrelated to flexibility in conjunction with Cross Timber’s flex practice. 

· Flexible part-time employees’ schedules and worklocations are based upon the role and scope of responsibilities.

· A finalized schedule will be established with theManager but typically falls within the general hours noted below.

o Monday-Friday role 8:30-5:00Monday-Thursday 8:30-2:00Friday

o Sunday-Thursday role 9:00-5:00 Monday-Thursday 7:00-1:00Sundays (varies by role)

· A 1-hour lunch break is provided and required to betaken by an employee. The actual time ofthe lunch break is determined with the manager’s input.

· Employees must understand that ministry does notalways fall within a normal schedule and working outside of that schedule canperiodically include weekends, evenings and holidays for CT sponsored events thatare essential (required). For full-timeroles, additional hours outside the normal scope may be accommodated with comptime and/or a temporary adjustment to the normal schedule where indicated. This is handled by Manager discretion.

WORK ENVIRONMENT – PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Positionrequires bending, stooping, and stretching to complete various tasks, andoccasional lifting of boxes weighing up to 25-50 pounds. Work is generallyperformed indoors but may involve limited exposure to outdoor weatherconditions.
