This role will be assisting Financial Planning Specialist within the Canaccord Genuity Wealth & Estate Planning (CGWEPSL) team in Vancouver.Administrative Responsibilities (15%):Provide Insurance support with in-force policies by notifying Specialists of upcoming Policy Anniversaries, ordering in-force illustrations, arranging premium payments and populating Annual Review templates. Input a wide variety of client data data & documents into our insurance tracking software (Equisoft Centralize), Conquest and other insurance-related programs with attention to detail and accuracy; Insurance Planning Responsibilities (30%):Provide client life and living benefits illustrations; Prepare insurance applications for clients & follow-up with clients through underwriting; Provide detailed and meticulous technical insurance support to the Wealth & Estate Planning Specialists; Reach out to clients with upcoming Term Renewals to arrange for discussions on rewriting, converting, or terminating the coverage - BC Insurance License dependent Work towards conducting Annual Policy reviews on simpler or mid-sized insurance plans - BC Insurance License dependent Financial Planning Responsibilities (30%):Create financial plans as requested by the Vancouver Wealth & Estate Planning Specialist; Liaise with clients to gather additional Discovery data as needed and work towards presenting smaller plans. Training, Support & Company Projects (25%):Provide Investment Advisors with ongoing supplemental support on our Financial Planning software, Conquest in group training sessions or one on one sessions; Provide support to Insurance Licensed Advisory teams as needed, such as basic LifeGuide quotes or simple insurance transactions; Attend team meetings and assist with projects as required. Assist in larger team ongoing improvement projects as required. Skills & Qualifications:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail; +/or Actively working towards the completion of the Certified Financial Planner Designation; +/or Actively working towards the completion of BC Insurance Life License 2-4 years of similar or related administrative experience; Knowledge of the Wealth and Estate Planning industry an asset; Experience in life and living benefits insurance is an asset; Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; Ability to work independently and effectively with Investment Advisors, clients and colleagues; Demonstrated ability to take initiative and utilize resources provided autonomously; PFP/QAFP/CFP/Insurance license is an asset; Previous Dataphile/Equisoft/Conquest software experience would be an asset; Intermediate to advanced computer skills: good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, especially Excel, PowerPoint). #LI-KT1All applications will be held in strict confidence.In order to be considered for employment, candidates selected for interviews will be required to show proof of citizenship, permanent residence or eligibility to work in Canada with no restrictions.We wish to thank all candidates for their interest but only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
