Canadian Blood Services (CBS) is seeking an experienced leader to be its Associate Director, Enterprise Facility Strategic and Capital Planning. In this critical role, the Associate Director will drive the Enterprise Facility Asset Strategic plan by leading the development of the enterprise facility portfolio and capital plan. They will oversee CBS Physical Infrastructure capital and master planning, provide crucial support for capital planning initiatives, develop business cases and plans, ensure strategic alignment across CBS divisions and strategies, and foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. The Associate Director also oversees the effective management of assigned personnel and external consultants, including those in management roles, ensuring alignment with the overarching goals of Corporate and Financial Services. Furthermore, this position serves as a key facilitator in developing strong inter-departmental and intra-divisional relationships on a national scale. In summary, this role will ensure that the physical footprint of CBS continually evolves to best serve donors, patients, and health systems across Canada.

As an ideal candidate you bring post-secondary level education in a relevant discipline and possess a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in facility planning and development in a complex government or highly regulated environments. Previous experience working in a regulated environment would be considered an asset. You also have a minimum of 10 years of progressive managerial experience in facility planning and capital management in a complex multi-site environment and have in-depth knowledge of facility asset planning and alignment to environmental sustainability practices. You also have knowledge and experience in program and project management and have a demonstrated ability to lead and manage change. You are known for your excellent interpersonal skills, your ability to influence, and your effective team building and leadership skills.
