By joining forces, we are multiplying our expertise, diversifying our service offering, gaining access to a wide variety of projects of all sizes and locations, and opening up career development opportunities worldwide.Together, with a presence on five continents and more than 8,500 employees, we will carry out our projects around the world with the determination to constantly contribute, throughout our activities, to having a positive impact on the environment and society.Join one of our multidisciplinary teams today, and let's create the future together!Work location:MississaugaWithin the Energy team, as an Assistant Project Manager (T&D):Your responsibilitiesSupport project managers for assign projects in regards to budget, schedule, scope, quality, safety, construction and contract performance; Support project managers in gathering resources to meet the engineering and construction objectives, ensure and elaborate project design, check & approval process, develops strategic sequencing, achieve milestone schedules, project-milestone cost tracking and project deliverables; Arrange project meetings to manage different phases of the project, identify problems, provide updates, and prepare minutes of meeting; Support project mangers in defining project objectives, establish policies, procedures, work methods and performance standards as per company operational and safety policy and contract specifications; Maintain excellent relationship with client, project team, external consultants, regulatory bodies, suppliers, sub-contractors and local communities; Support project managers in planning, preparing, monitoring and managing engineering and construction schedules and milestones; Support project managers in coordinating development of detailed cost estimates, schedules and associated project RFP’s, RFQ’s, contracts, etc. Prepare equipment specifications, sub-contract documents, vendor approval and bid evaluations, monitor and process contract change notices, manage RFIs etc.; Cross check and follow up project invoicing, monthly forecasting, project milestone payments and project closeouts; Conduct follow-up or “lessons learned” meetings and initiate changes to minimize the impact on future projects.Your profileBSc in Electrical/Civil engineering, Project Management, High Voltage Substation Design and Construction experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Experience of 3 – 5 years in engineering, project management and construction management related to high-voltage substation experience (Field experience with construction and contract management is MUST); Demonstrated competencies in the areas of: planning and organization, decision making, conducting meetings, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), critical thinking and problem-solving skills, risk and change management, team work, influencing and leading, delegating and adaptability, independence; Experience with Microsoft Office and MS Project; Knowledge of High Voltage substation requirements and the associated standards related to Ontario, Canada.Your benefitsCompetitive salaries; Contribution to a retirement savings plan; Group insurance program; Reimbursement of professional contribution fees; Telework policy; Continuing training; Career and development opportunities; Stimulating work environment.
