About Our Client: Our client is a boutique accounting firm performing Notice to Reader engagements, personal and corporate tax assignments.Position Scope: The Assistant Manager will be responsible for working in all areas of public accounting including compilation engagements, corporate and personal tax filings and reviewing and managing the work of junior staff as they are a small boutique firm, the range of work includes the completion of all aspects of files including tax. This may be challenging for some, but for the right person, it opens doors to personal and professional growth and a rewarding career. Responsibilities:Managing many relationships both internally with staff and externally with clients. Managing, preparing, and reviewing various compilation engagement files including corporate and personal tax planning and preparation.Ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.Perform full-cycle accounting.Conduct NTR engagements following established accounting standards and guidelines.Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to optimize financial outcomes.Develop and lead timely communications to clientsManaging deadlines to ensure all filing and reporting requirements are met.Other duties as required. Required Skills and Knowledge:Strong interpersonal skills for developing and maintaining effective working relationships both internally and externally. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Team playerAttention to detailProven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilitiesProficiency with Microsoft SuiteEducation and Experience:Minimum 3 years of experience as CPACPA Designation University/College degree in Accounting or related field Strong accounting and tax skills. Experience with TaxPrep, Quickbooks and Caseware is considered an assert.
