Assistant LUD Operator and Assistant Water Plant Operator Employer: Rural Municipality of Argyle Location: Argyle Manitoba Application Deadline: June 28, 2024 Job Description:The Rural Municipality of Argyle is seeking a self-motivated individual for a full-time position divided between Assistant LUD Operator and Assistant Utility Operator. Reporting to the Water Plant/Town Operator, the role includes assisting with town maintenance, mowing, snow blowing, supervising students or casual employees, and assisting with sampling, water plant operations, wastewater management, and achieving full certification in Level II water distribution and wastewater treatment plant.Requirements:Assist with maintenance, safety, and beautification of the town of BaldurAbility to safely operate and maintain various equipment (e.g., snowblower, mower, skid steer)Assist with all duties involved in operating a water plant and wastewater treatment systemComputer proficiency (Word and Excel)Effective communication skills, both orally and in writingDemonstrated competence in safe work practicesPhysical ability to perform all laboring aspects or other duties associated with the positionAbility to work cooperatively and courteously with Council, supervisors, staff, contractors and the publicWillingness to obtain necessary certifications (paid by RM if passed)Criminal Record CheckValid Class 5 Driver’s LicenseOther PW duties as assigned.Applications, with two references, will be accepted until June 28, 2024, at 4:00 pm or until a successful candidate is located.
