Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant Director of Assessment for the Department of Undergraduate Academic Affairs. Reporting to the Senior Vice Provost and Vice Chancellor for Undergraduate Education ( SVPUE ), the Assistant Director of Assessment for the Division of Undergraduate Education (UE) will lead coordination of division-wide research and assessment for UE’s programs and initiatives.

Among the key duties of this position are the following Collects, analyzes, and manages data. Prepares reports and presentations on assessment results. Assists in the development of assessment plans for existing and proposed programs. Recommends and conducts quantitative and qualitative research, investigating factors that affect student engagement, performance, and retention. Works with senior leadership in Undergraduate Education to develop assessment priorities and strategies and chairs the Undergraduate Education Assessment Committee. A master’s degree in statistics, economics, public policy or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years of relevant experience. Certifications/Licenses

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Understanding and practice of program evaluation, qualitative and quantitative analysis. Experience with statistical programs such as Stata,

SPSS , or R. Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to create, manage, and analyze large databases in Microsoft Excel and Tableau. Ability to self-direct management of multiple priorities. Ability to interact comfortably and professionally with diverse students, staff, and faculty populations. High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications

3 years of experience in program evaluation at an institution of higher education or equivalent type of organization. Experience using survey software, such as Qualtrics and/or Campus Labs. A broad understanding of Rutgers University and the academic programs offered by RU-NB. Stata or R, Microsoft Office Software, Qualtrics, Tableau, Canvas, and the other university learning management systems as needed. Physical Demands and Work Environment

Posting Summary
