Job Description

The University of Northern Iowa's Department of Sociology, Anthropology & Criminology seeks applicants for a temporary Assistant Adjunct Professor beginning in August 2024 for the Fall semester. The adjunct instructor will be responsible for two in-person, on-campus sections of SOC 1000 Introduction to Sociology.

The successful candidate must hold a MA in Sociology or related field.
Required qualifications include previous in-person teaching in post-secondary education.
Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience teaching Introduction to Sociology and other Sociology courses, in-person and on-campus; evidence of quality teaching with student course assessments, student testimonies, etc.; and a Ph.D.
