Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to fill one (1) English essential indeterminate (permanent) position in Ottawa, ON.
This process may also be used to fill current and future vacancies with various employment tenures (temporary and permanent), language profiles, security requirements, and conditions of employment.

Information you must provide

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma AND completion of an acceptable training program in electronics technology or the employer-approved alternative*

*The employer-approved alternative is: an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Note: Normally an acceptable training program in Electronics Technology involves the completion of two to three years of post-secondary study in this subject.

EXPERIENCE:
Experience working as a Biomedical Engineering Technologist.
Experience in the management of medical equipment maintenance requirements using asset management systems and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Experience troubleshooting complex electrical or electronic hardware.
Experience managing the maintenance of medical equipment.

*Experience is defined as the depth and breadth normally acquired by performing a broad range of activities associated with performing the full duties.

ASSET EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with clinical care providers to manage an institutional response to a medical device alert, or recall, for a fleet of medical equipment.
Experience working with analytical tools like Microsoft’s Power BI, or similar software, to develop and monitor business intelligence reports.
