The Aquatics Director will analyze the class schedule for inefficiencies, ensure team members are consistently teaching BSS curriculum in a predictable and repeatable way, and promote an open, collaborative culture. Using our fun, gentle, and progressive approach the Aquatics Director helps our swimmers gain confidence and knowledge, thereby, working towards our mission of creating safe and happy swimmers. Locations in Vancouver and Portland. Strategically, this position will oversee growth of the Portland locations but training will be in Vancouver.Your Typical Responsibilities:Hire, train, supervise, support, and develop a dynamic team of Swim Instructors and Managers.Ensure that all water, safety standards and certifications are up to date and maintained.Conduct ongoing training and performance reviews.Develop and adhere to the annual budget and strategies for business success.Ensure classes and training adhere to current company and program standards.Minimum Qualifications:Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.3 years of supervisory experienceProficient in Microsoft Office products.Have a responsible and professional demeanor.Willing to acquire Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED CertificationsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in swimming and fitness teaching/management is preferred. Experience managing aquatics teams.Possesses Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification.3+ years of supervisory experienceCertified Pool Operator (CPO) certification1+ years of working with children.Compensation and Benefits:Pay starts at $50k/yr, based on experience and with possible opportunities for bonusesPaid trainingKey leader in a growing businessA dynamic and rewarding mission-based corporate cultureAbout Us: Here at British Swim School, we are more than just a fun, surface-level swim lesson provider.
