We are looking for a highly motivated Applications Engineer (AE) to join our Automotive Processors (AP) Business Line to support Mass Market/Distribution customers in the Americas region. NXP’s products are used by all major Automotive OEMs and suppliers along with select Industrial customers. As an Applications Engineer you will be a key technical interface between our global R&D organization and our Distributor partners and end customers to enable the successful design-in of NXP’s products.

Your Responsibilities

· Provide feedback to the Product Marketing, Systems and Design teams on the success of NXP products in the mass market and recommend improvements to hardware, software and collateral

· Develop and deliver technical training to NXP Field Applications Engineers (FAEs), Distributor FAEs and end customers on new Automotive processors and their associated software and tools

· Provide technical support to key customers in the Americas region

· Develop demo applications and reference designs to showcase the advantages of NXP products

· Develop / contribute to the development of:

o Hardware, software and development tool documentation including but not limited to:

§ product brief; out-of-box user guide; development tool user guide

o Testing of software versions, stacks and operating systems

o Example code to enable customer evaluation of processor features

· Attend NXP, Distributor and customer/industry events

To be successful in this role you should have:

· Bachelor's or master's degree in Electronic Engineering or a similar discipline

· Experience of embedded application software development (>=2 years)

· Experience of embedded C language programming

· An advanced understanding of Microcontrollers and Microprocessors

· Advanced English and Spanish communication skills (verbal & written)

· The ability to travel within the USA, Canada and Central/South America without restriction
