ABOUT THE JOB:

The aim of Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to Société Générale investment and corporate bank units and their clients to accelerate their transformation. GBTO differentiates itself from competitors with the pace of the agile transformation delivered, spreading the technology and data culture, shortening the decision-making process, and adopting a true industrial approach, leveraging on different teams either transversal or aligned to the different sub business units.

This is a central and dynamic position as you will provide technical and functional support of the equity and derivative risk engine which allow our traders and risk analysts to manage their risks on a day to days basis. Good financial knowledge, great communication, social skills, and knowledge of ITIL best practices are essential as you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our applications.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

Primary tasks for a Production Support Analyst:

  • Monitor technical components and processes
  • Resolve functional and technical issues promptly
  • Troubleshoot in a complex financial environment
  • Provide expertise for quality solutions and documentation
  • Communicate with users and liaise with development teams
  • Assist in configuring setups and platform monitoring
  • Perform post-rollout testing and handle queries
  • Track case histories and adhere to IT standards
  • Report status to clients and manage client relationships effectively
Profile required

Skills and Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • 2+ years’ experience as support analyst
  • Experience working with relational databases
  • Good knowledge of equity and derivatives products
  • Good knowledge of core business process like Profit and Loss, Value at Risk and Risk Analysis
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and work in a multitasking environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent job experience

Nice to Have:

  • ITIL knowledge / certification
  • FRM certification
  • Knowledge in Programming (Python, Shell…)

Languages: French and English

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
