We are looking for energetic, passionate and customer service driven Application Engineer toprovide the highest standard of support toour technical sales efforts through customer visits, on-site assistance and remote communications. Keys toproviding superior support will be through effective and efficient problem solving, training, installation assistance, commissioning, and validating ComAp provided controls. We strive tosupport our customers todeliver best in class products, services and continued support.
Application Engineer Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, and 3+ years in arelated
5+ Years’ experience in asimilar role. In lieu of experience or education, we will consider acombination of education and hands on experience
Knowledge of engine, generator control systems, PLC or Microprocessor based controls, software and logic
Knowledge of standby and paralleling generators, switchgear, ATS, reciprocating engines, BiFuel engines, pumps, compressors or other industrial equipment
Complex/Critical Paralleling Controls Design & Commissioning experience (Hospitals, Data Centers, Banking, Military etc..) including advanced knowledge and demonstrated experience of electrical testing and commissioning of on grid and off grid power systems.
Strong, demonstrable knowledge of theory and operation of energy production systems and components, for example Microgrids, Switchgear, ATS, UPS backup, protective relaying, generators and Combined Heat and Power.
Advanced knowledge of industrial communication standards (Modbus, CanBus and TCP/IP networks)
Ability totravel, both domestic and internationally
Ability tocommunicate with all levels in the organization.

What does an Application Engineer doin ComAp INC.?
Develop and retain an in-depth functional knowledge for the entire ComAp product portfolio
Interface with customers tocomprehend their technical requirements
Assist with the product specification, installation, commissioning, and training for ComAp controls tomeet customer requirements
Conduct in-house and on-site training for new and existing customers
Review wiring diagrams and schematics
Provide ahigh level of technical development support though on-site and remote (telephone and e-mail) communications
Collaborate with the Sales team toprepare project charters, engineering trip reports, change requests and other reports as necessary
Ensure customer satisfaction through the design, specification, installation, operation, and support of ComAp products in accordance with the requirements of the customer and company strategy.
Communicate with cross functional teams toensure successful and timely completion of customer requirements
Develop application and technical service documentation
Assist in design and development of new and existing products
