Alberta Health Services, Central Zone, and the Department of Anesthesia at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, invites applications for an Anesthesiologist to establish a full-time practice in the community of Red Deer.
Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre (RDRHC) provides a comprehensive gamut of services including general, orthopedics, plastics, ENT, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology and obstetric surgeries. Cardiac, thoracic, and neurosurgery surgeries are not performed at RDRHC. They provide care for both adult and pediatric (minimum age of 1) patient populations with 12,500-12,750 surgical cases performed annually. You would be providing anesthesia for both elective and trauma surgical procedures; obstetrical and call coverage are also required. Mentorship will be provided and there is a program in place to ensure the on call Anesthesiologist is supported. There is also opportunity for participation in medical teaching though the Red Deer based family medicine program and anesthesiology resident electives.

Desired Qualifications:
Certified or eligible for Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certificate;
