JOB STATEMENT:As part of the fund operations team, the main responsibility of this position is performing administrative duties primarily for Real Estate Funds and assisting with ETFs, mutual funds, and segregated accounts. Depth of experience along with time management and organizational skills will be notable features found in a successful candidate. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Administration Primary administration representative for Guardian Real Estate Funds;Reconciling daily cash balances and transactions to custodians and property managers; Coordinating information flow between fund administrators, client contacts, and portfolio managers;When warranted, acting as a liaison for any of Client Services, Trading, Portfolio Management, Performance, Compliance, and clients; andSpecial projects and other duties, as required.ReportingGenerating regular reconciliation reports for internal records and clients;Accounting for the corporate result from Guardian Funds activities; andResponsible for regular daily and monthly reporting primarily for Real Estate Fund and assisting with ETFs and client accounts.ProcessingDaily processing related to Real Estate Fund such as expenses, capital calls, distributions, tax, revenue postings and classification;Assisting portfolio management groups with Real Estate trade generation and verification; Accounting for the operating result of the Real Estate Fund Manager; andActing as backup for other operations roles that may include processing and reporting on segregated accounts, pooled funds, options, foreign exchange, and corporate actions.Financial Reporting and Year EndPerform quarterly, semi, and annual financial statements for the Real Estate Fund;Coordinate year end audit; andCoordinate tax matters related to the Real Estate Fund.QUALIFICATIONS:Post-secondary degree in business, or equivalentMinimum of 2 years of experience within the investment industry focusing on Real Estate Fund, ETF or mutual fund administrationStrong investment fund accounting, custody, and record keeping knowledgeExceptional knowledge of Microsoft Excel; VBA and python experience are an assetCharles River and Eagle knowledge is preferred Working towards CPA is an assetEffective problem-solving skills with the ability to work independentlyStrong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as the ability to work towards deadlinesCOMPENSATION:Commensurate with experience
