Position Title:Analyst, Business IntelligenceLocation:788 Beatty Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 2M1Terms:Full-time, PermanentReports to:Director, Business IntelligenceVancouver Whitecaps FC is looking for a new team member to join our Business Intelligence department in the position ofAnalyst, Business Intelligence.TheAnalyst, Business Intelligencewill be responsiblefor utilizing statistical methods and data visualization techniques to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, patterns, and insights, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.Specific Job Duties include, but are not limited to:Development and validation of statistical models to provide key business insights such as ticket sales forecastsPrepare reports and dashboards using BI/visualization tools that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predications using relevant dataLead regularly scheduled insight meetings with department stakeholders to share findings and recommendationsCollaborates with and gathers critical information from other departmental stakeholders to anticipate data analysis requirements and recommend plus implement solutionsMonitor and maintain data quality and data hygiene across multiple platformsProject management and analytics support of the Business Intelligence & CRM department strategy in support the club’s overarching business planCreating, optimizing and managing complex SQL queries and viewsCreation and management of automated data export workflowsDesign, programming and execution of fan surveys and data collectionPerform ad-hoc analysis and additional duties as neededEffectively represents the Business Intelligence team both internally and externallyQualifications/Experience:In addition to bringing a commitment to Vancouver Whitecaps FC vision and values, the successful candidate will have degrees of demonstrated skills and experience as follows:Must be legally authorized to work in Canada2-3 years of data analytics experience in a corporate setting is preferredA combination of experience and education will be consideredProficiency with Tableau and/or PowerBIProficiency with building statistical modelsProficiency with SQLProficiency with Microsoft Excel , Microsoft Office suite and virtual meeting platforms (MS Teams, Zoom)Excellent written and oral communication skillsExperience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is an assetExperience with CRM software (Salesforce/Microsoft Dynamics) is an assetExperience with survey programming is an assetAbility to work non-standard work week, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidaysThe ClubVancouver Whitecaps FC is the longest-running professional soccer club in Canada and the United States.
