AltaGas - Sr Corporate Environmental Analyst
AltaGas is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Analyst to join our Corporate EHS Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Director, Environmental Compliance and Carbon Management in developing, implementing, and overseeing environmental programs across the organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of environmental regulations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.You Will: Coordinate with Environmental teams across the AltaGas EnterpriseProvide subject matter expertise and guidance to management and employees on a full spectrum of Environmental IssuesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies for identified Environmental risksCollaborate with the Director, Environmental Compliance and Carbon Management to develop and enhance corporate environmental programsDesign and implement Environmental monitoring programs to track and report on key environmental indicatorsAnalyze monitoring data to assess environmental performance and identify areas for improvementWork with internal stakeholders to gather relevant data for internal and external reporting purposes.Assist in the development and delivery of environmental training programs for employees.Build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and community stakeholdersAct as a point of contact for environmental inquiries from external parties.Support responses to ESG questionnaires with a focus on Environmental topics, as well as AltaGas own ESG disclosuresHelp to evolve AltaGas Environmental strategy and approach to Environmental disclosuresSupport tracking of AltaGas performance against ESG goals and targetsAdvise on the integration of environmental considerations into business planning and decision-making processes.Represent AltaGas in environmental forums and industry groups.Stay informed about emerging environmental issues and technologies to continuously improve existing programs.Serve as a role model in areas of leadership, teamwork, continuous improvement, safety and environmental stewardship to ensure alignment with the company visionYou Have: 5+ Years experience within the energy industry. requiredIn-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices.Strong working knowledge of Sustainability disclosure frameworksStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Bachelors Degree environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or a related fieldMasters Degree Accreditation in a related professional discipline preferredProfessional certifications (e.g., Certified Environmental Professional) are a plus.Read the full posting.
