Alberta Beverage Container Recycling Corporation – COO
Based in Calgary, and reporting to the President and CEO, the successful candidate will have day-to-day responsibility for all areas of ABCRC’s accounting and operations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, operating efficiency, and maximizing governance and regulatory compliance expectations and requirements. As an experienced operational leader, the new COO must have a proven track record of managing a successful business while staying focused on cost efficiency.
The COO will have leadership responsibility for an organization of approximately 200 people, with 6 direct reports. This person will drive strategic priorities, operations, logistics, IT, finance, human resources, and environmental and sustainability initiatives. The successful candidate has experience communicating regularly with senior executives and/or Board members on important issues facing the organization (internal and external) and will be responsible for implementing operational initiatives that lead to growth and ROI for the organization. The COO will need to possess strong leadership skills, operational acumen, an eye on continuous improvement, and experience driving strategic initiatives to ensure continued profitable growth.
