Expected Salary: $67,259 - $100,889

Babcock is now in the process of establishing its a Rotary Wing division. Babcock will be providing engineering support to Ascent Helicopters as they deliver the vital life-saving aero-medical operations to the Government of British Columbia.

Babcock is looking to establish a Rotary Wing division within its aviation business in Canada and is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced engineering managers to lead the introduction to service and subsequent operations. We are currently recruiting for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) based in our Winnipeg, Manitoba office. The AME is responsible to the Chief Engineer and Person Responsible for Maintenance (PRM) for the completion of the maintenance and repair tasks which are assigned to them.

In this role, you will:

Work on CL215/CL415 Water Bomber Aircraft and Commander 690's Maintain, adjust, modify, test, diagnose, and repair an aircraft's mechanical or structural systems. Work with specialized aviation and power tools, computers, and diagnostic equipment Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks. Mentor AME apprentices Keep timely and accurate records of the repair and maintenance activities that were conducted. Carefully observe all procedures, rules and regulations when performing any task Be thoroughly familiar with, and put to use, safety procedures and safe work practices. Use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for tasks/jobs. Follow company tool control procedures. Maintain a clean and productive work area. Work efficiently alone and as part of a team Read, understand, and adhere to the: o Safety & Health Policy Statement o Company Occupational Health & Safety Manual o Company Policies and Procedures

Utilize the Company reporting system to report any hazard, incident or accident. Enter labour in the labour tracking system accurately for all tasks performed. Perform work in accordance with all Transport Canada guidelines. Normal work schedule is o Oct 1 to April 1 is Monday to Friday dayshift. o April 1 to Oct 1 is 2 weeks away from base 2 weeks off. o The schedule does vary slightly depending on operational requirements.

Other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate brings:

Must hold a valid M1 and/or M2 AME license. Experience with CL-215/CL-415 aircraft is an asset. Experience with Garrett Turbine powered aircraft is an asset. Have demonstrated experience working on WinAir or other similar maintenance programs. Have good organizational skills. Are proficient in English, written and spoken. Have the physical ability to sit or crouch for extended periods. Have the physical ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods. Have physical dexterity to allow working in confined spaces. The ability and willingness to work shift work. Have ability to work at heights. Be willing and able to travel for 4 weeks at a time. You are eligible for an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC), AVOP and ITAR Clearance Have or can obtain a Canadian passport. Hold a valid driver's license.
