Our office is at 200 Comet Private, Ottawa ON. Intent of the processThe immediate intent of this process is to staff one (1) AME- Rotary Wing and one (1) AME – Fixed Wing in Ottawa, Ontario. A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical EG-06 positions with various language proficiencies (English Essential or Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB) within Aircraft Services in Ottawa, Ontario.Positions to be filled: 2 Information you must provideIn order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)Education: ED1 : Successful completion of a recognized postsecondary school program in aircraft maintenance or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience. Occupational Certification: OC1: Possession of a valid Canadian Aircraft Maintenance Engineer category License M1, or M2, or M1 and M2. Experience: EX1: Recent* and significant* experience as a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer maintaining fixed or rotary wing aircraft.*Definition of significant and recent experience: Significant experience means at least 3 years of relevant experience. Recent is defined as within the last 5 years. If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)Experience:Maintenance type training and/or experience maintaining one or more of the following aircraft types: - King Air Series - Cessna Citation II - Bombardier Challenger 600/601/604/650/RJ - De Havilland Dash-7/Dash-8 Series - Bell 206 - Bell 407 - Bell 412 - Bell 429 The following will be applied / assessed at a later date (essential for the job)Competencies: C1: Demonstrating integrity and respect. OR3: Willingness and ability work in various positions on aircraft and in the hangar, which may involve standing, kneeling, lying, and sitting as well as crawling into confined spaces and climbing elevated maintenance stands. OR4: Available and willing to work shifts and overtime on short notice during the week or on weekends.
