Well cover your Toronto accommodation - WiFi, utilities, and cleaning, all included. 7 days on and 7 days off - stay where you are, but enjoy a great new opportunity.Here are some other great reasons for you to join the Porter Team:Our Staff Travel program: As a Porter team member, you get unlimited standby travel on our flights and after 6 months, that opens up to our Global interline partners as well.Our Benefits: Incentivesup to 6% of base earnings ,RRSP matching, medical and dental coverage are yoursReporting to the Manager, Line Maintenance, the AME will work collaboratively with the production team to ensure safe and effective operation of our Dash 8 - 400 and/or Embraer E2 fleet.Duties & ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot aircraft structural, mechanical or hydraulic systems to identify problems and adjust and repair systems according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals and established proceduresRepair and overhaul aircraft structural, mechanical or hydraulic systemsInstall or modify aircraft engines, mechanical, hydraulic, flight control, fuel and pneumatic systemsDismantle airframes, aircraft engines or other aircraft systems for repair, overhaul, and cleaning, and reassemblePerform and document scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as per Porter’s Policy and Transport Canada requirementsAssist in Initial Training and Recurrent Training of Team MembersActively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety PolicyUndertake other roles/duties as assignedBehavioural CompetenciesConcern for Safety: Identifying hazardous or potentially hazardous situations and taking appropriate action to maintain a safe environment for self and others.Teamwork: Working collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals.Passenger/Customer Service: Providing service excellence to internal and/or external customers (passengers).Initiative: Dealing with situations and issues proactively and persistently, seizing opportunities that arise.Results Focus: Focusing efforts on achieving high quality results consistent with the organization’s standards.Fostering Communication: Listening and communicating openly, honestly, and respectfully with different audiences, promoting dialogue and building consensus.QualificationsCompletion of secondary school is requiredA college diploma in aircraft maintenance from a Transport Canada approved educational facilityValid M2 or E AME LicenceDash 8 - 400 and Embraer E-Jet experience/endorsement considered an assetValid Ontario full “G” driver’s license with a clean abstract.Ability to obtain a Canadian PassportAbility to obtain necessary security clearances and successfully complete the company screening processLocationToronto (Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport - YTZ) Company DescriptionSince 2006, Porter Airlines has been elevating the experience of economy air travel for every passenger, providing genuine hospitality with style, care and charm.
