Position Summary Reporting to the Manager, IPP Accounting, this position will be responsible for providing accounts payable and general accounting support to the Property Accounting team, and will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices: Position Responsibilities Daily review and processing of a high-volume of invoices for accuracy, documentation, authorization while ensuring in adherence with Amacon policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements. Prepare and perform bi-weekly and ad hoc cheque runs, including preparation of cheques for mail, or other special instructions Respond to queries from vendors and other user groups in a timely manner. Monitor AP aging report to ensure invoices are processed and cleared in a timely manner. Process and enter employee expense report information. Prepare various reconciliations including credit card, commissions, contracts, and chargebacks on a regular basis documenting and looking into any discrepancies. Perform support function including filing, scanning, and general administration. Other ad-hoc requests as assigned. Qualifications: Experience: Basic accounting background Education: Post-secondary education preferred Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience with Yardi Voyager 7S is an asset Great attitude and team player Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all team members inside and outside of accounting at all levels within the organization. Effective organizational skills and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple competing tasks Excellent communication; verbal, written and listening skills Good interpersonal skills, able to coordinate and communicate with internal and external parties High degree of accuracy, strong attention to detail and adherence to deadlines Additional Information Amacon is an equal-opportunity employer who offers competitive compensation and benefit programs.
