Job Description

At J Dass, we are looking for an Accounting Supervisor to oversee our accounting department’s daily operations.Accounting Supervisor will work closely with a team ofaccountantsto manage financial functions, including accounts payable/ receivable, bank reconciliations and audits. Accounting Supervisor uses strong analytical skills to create detailed financial reports and forecasts. To succeed in this role, you should also have a problem-solving attitude and be able to manage a team.Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our financial management is accurate and effective.Responsibilities· Review Invoices Before it comes to management for final signing· Monitor QuickBooks and ensure payments are being posted/reconciled in a timely manner· Ensuring income Statements are submitted and have accurate information in timely manner.· Ensure Inventory/cycle counts are up to date· Overseeing and assisting staff members in the preparation and reporting of financial statements and transactions.· Ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.· Identifying and resolving financial issues and risks.· Communicating and collaborating with department heads and other stakeholders to manage budgets and financial goals.Requirements and skillsProven work experience as an Accounting SupervisorExperience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas)Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulationsExcellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of dataAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to prioritize workBS degree in Accounting or FinanceAccounting certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) is a plusFull time, PermanentJ Dass believes in equal employment opportunity related to all employees and applicants for employment.
