About the Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Accounting Manager based in Vancouver, reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, this role oversees daily accounting team operations with a focus on providing strong analytical skills and comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles. In this role, you will be expected to:
- Supervise accounting personnel that perform day-to-day accounting activities, including AP, AR, bank reconciliation.
- Ensure completion of all month-end procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process.
- Prepare monthly financial statements for all companies in the group.
- Assist in the analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information to review the effectiveness of existing systems.
- Maintain Vena and assist in the maintenance of Business Central.
- Assist with year-end preparation for headquarters and perform year-end for subsidiaries.
- Prepare reports for bank lender and shareholders, and other monthly and ad hoc and reports forecasts.
- You have a minimum Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- You have demonstrated experience in accounting roles, preferably 2 years in managerial positions.
- You possess excellent proficiency in MS Excel.
- You hold a CPA or equivalent certification, which is preferred.
- You have good knowledge of GAAP and the ability to apply accounting standards to transactions. You also demonstrate proficiency in budgeting systems and financial software.
- You exhibit strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people. You also have good verbal and written communication skills, excellent problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- You are able to prioritize and handle tasks in a timely manner, demonstrating excellent organizational and facilitation skills. You are known for being trustworthy, detailed, and accurate.
