The Accounting Manager will be responsible for assigned accounting functions as follows:Prepare monthly financial statementsReconcile financial information between external software and accounting softwarePrepare year end package for the external accountantFollow up on payment status with credit customersManage cash flow cycle for the businessReconciliation of various balance sheet and income statement accountsPrepare internal management reports as required to assist with business decision makingCollaborates with other accounting staff to support and enable department to meet overall goals and objectivesEducation & Experience:Diploma or Degree in Accounting and/or Business AdministrationMinimum 3-5 years experience in an accounting role with direct experience in preparing monthly financial statementsCPA Designation or current pursuit of a CPA designation is considered an asset, but not requiredExperience working in a vehicle or recreational vehicle dealership is considered an assetExperience working in a garage or auto service shop is considered an assetExperience with foreign exchange transactions an assetExperience with Point of Sales system an assetAbility to work independentlyAbility to manage workflow to hit deadlinesExceptional time management skills, working in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills and ability to communicate complex issues to senior managementDetail orientedExperience with Sage 300 & advanced excel functions is considered an assetCompensation and benefits:Educational assistanceOpportunities for advancement If you are interested in applying for this position, please submit your resume and cover letter to: We thank all who apply and advise that only those selected for further consideration will be contacted.
