Are you an Accounting Clerk looking to join a well-respected organization? An Accounting Clerk is needed by a department to support its daily operations. This position is available through Robert Half. The Accounting Clerk responsibilities will include matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Your responsibilities in this role - Remedy discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required - Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources - Support Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing - Circulate financial information to journals and ledgers - Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects - Assist Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt - See to the proper coding of documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes - Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred - Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds - Proven knowledge of Invoice Processing - Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred - Data entry experience - Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) - Account reconciliation experience desired - General familiarity with QuickBooks - Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel - Foundational knowledge in billing - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
