Thisis our purpose.THE JOBThe ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for Assumed Reinsurance (monthly, quarterly and budget/forecast) reporting, intercompany reconciliation, and settlementsReview Quarterly Reinsurance Statements, confirming treaty compliance and provide activity commentaryPrepare DAC calculation (Monthly, quarterly and Budget/Forecast)Books Premium Tax monthly and reconcile accounts and prepare budget/forecast calculation (Monthly, quarterly and Budget/Forecast)Responsible for GL accounting and updating monthly and quarterly Trial balancesInput CACIS CSI for the Group Finance Department /Consolidation technical resultsPrepare analysis needed for Statutory Reporting (e.g. UCC, LOC, YTD Income Statement PY comparison to CY)Provide monthly calculation of Unearned premium (UPR) and prepare quarterly forecast and three year budgetMonthly, Quarterly and Annual accounting reportingMaintain accounting controls and follow accounting policies and proceduresReconcile General Ledger accounts to parent company and/or subsidiary records on a monthly basisAssist in & complete Audit RequestsCreate & update SOP’sTHE CANDIDATEIn order to be successful in this role, you must possess the following:QualificationsBachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, or FinanceMinimum 2 years’ experience in professional accountingInsurance experience a plus!Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Good communication skillsGood organizational skillsAbility to deal with numerous deadlines at the same time and work independentlyOracle Financials experience is desirableWell organized, team player and supportive of changeComputer literacy: Highly Proficient in Excel
