The Accountant will be responsible for preparing monthlyfinancial statements, reconciliations, analysis and special projects.Position DescriptionManages and coordinates the overall financial administration ofthe assigned division(s).Preparation and submission of monthly financial statements withfull analysis and commentary to Senior Staff and the Corporate AccountingDepartment.Variance analysis on income and expenses as support to themonthly financial Statements.Maintain accounting records within Business Central.Maintain and create production/statistical databases/Exceltables.Assists regional controller with annual audit, budgetpreparation and forecasts.Assists with month end close; reconciliation of balancesheet accounts and inter-company accounts.Preparation of municipal invoices and revenue share schedules.Responsible for daily/monthly bank reportsProvide assistance to Operation Managers as required to increaseprofitability of the division(s)/company.Preparation of HST and Stats Canada reportsMaintain/oversee timely vendor invoice processing andperform/oversee customer collections.Maintain positive relationships with all staff, vendors, clientsand municipal government contacts.Maintain and create production/statistical databases/Exceltables.Ad Hoc reportingPerforms other related duties as assignedSkills &QualificationsFinal year of CPA studies or CPA designation.Minimum 3-5 years of experience in working in fast paced,deadline driven accounting environment.Excellent proficiency with productivity software, MS OfficeSuite, particularly Excel. (say advanced skills)Strong skills in using accounting software applications (BusinessCentral, RTA Fleet Management Software, Route Optix or Materials Managerwould be an asset)Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skillsto function in a deadline driven environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability towork well with employees at various levels of the organization.An equivalent combination of education and experience will beconsideredAre youready to jumpstart your career by joining one of Canadas Greenest Employersand become part of the environmental solution?
