It is our goal to reduce landfill volumes through recycling while providing customers with the best customer experience in the industry.About the roleThe Accountant is responsible for managing the financial actions of the company, including financial planning, monitoring cash flow, overseeing financial reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information.ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and cost accounting;Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances;Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements;Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting;Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting;Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings;Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls;Conduct financial analysis to understand company performance and identify areas for improvement;Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to management while recommending further courses of action;Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans;Oversee inventory management and valuation, including the processing and recording of all financial transactions;Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, financial advisors, and other stakeholders. QualificationsBachelor’s degree, diploma or certificate in Accounting/Finance;5+ years of experience in a similar role;Highly proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel;Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles);Experience with financial reporting requirements and regulatory compliance;Superior attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills;Resourceful with a strong propensity to offer solutions;High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.Salary range$72,576 – $85,500 annually.Competitive salary, benefits and paid vacation;
