Located in Coquitlam, BC
Salary: $65-$75K, DEO
We are currently recruiting for an Accountant in Vancouver. This is a full-time & permanent role with a large real estate developer of residential & commercial developments throughout Metro Vancouver & BC.
You will be working alongside & reporting to the Owner. This role has a projected start date for June.
Requirements:

• 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience is required
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Fluent in preparing financial statements, journal entries, A/R, A/P and payroll
• Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
• Ability to prioritize tasks & meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical skills & attention to detail
• Knowledge of real estate development processes & terminology is a plus
• Experience within the real estate development, or rental properties (or relevant) is required
• Strong communication skills: written & verbal

Duties:

• Manage & maintain financial records for multiple residential & commercial development projects
• Conduct regular financial analysis to ensure accuracy & compliance with regulatory standards
• Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets & cash flow statements, for both internal & external stakeholders
• Assist in the preparation of budgets & forecasts for upcoming development projects
• Handle A/P and A/R processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments & collections
• Post daily cash receipts, cash disbursements, tax reports & deposits
• Maintain & record fixed assets
• Compile, enter & post monthly adjusted journal entries
• Resolve discrepancies & report to compliance reporting requests on a timely basis
• Assist in preparation of financial & operational audits
• Assist with daily & monthly workflow as needed
