THE ROLE
Canadian Linen is looking for a Maintenance Engineer and Safety Coordinator to join our team as a Full-time employee.
What you’ll do:

  • Light maintenance of plant equipment.
  • Answering repair calls.
  • Perform safety checks on equipment.
  • Perform maintenance of the boiler.
  • New employee orientation.
  • Shipping/ receiving/organizing inventory.
  • Managing forklift operations.
  • Plant inspections: safety/personal protective equipment.
  • Plant walk throughs with guests and contractors.
  • WCB injury reporting/follow up.
  • Staff safety training.
  • Chair Joint health and safety committee meetings.
  • Attend safety meetings with zone supervisor.
  • Organize safety binders and paperwork.
  • Conduct fire drills/safety audits.
  • Occasionally assist other departments.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by Chief Engineer.
We are looking for individuals who have:
  • 2+ years of experience in similar positions in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Class 5 Steam Ticket required.
  • Building operator/building maintenance experience, an asset.
  • Forklift license, an asset.
