Southwestern Manufacturing Inc. is seeking 2 *permanent full-time*(minimum of 40 - 50 hours per week) experienced SENIOR LEVEL welders to start as soon as possible. We have openings on steady days and steady afternoons shift. Southwestern Manufacturing typically operates on rotating shifts of days and afternoons.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Experience in UT Welding Required
- English language
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of welding techniques, including gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux core arc welding (FCAW), and multi-pass welding
- Able to stand for extended periods work within a fast-paced environment and have an attention for detail to ensure tight deadlines are met
- Steel-toed safety boots; welding helmet and gloves
- Current welding certification ***
- CWB Weld Supervisor certification is an asset
Duties
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
- Interpret welding process specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
- Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment
- Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
